Rotary International - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

As a global network that strives to build a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change, Rotary values diversity and celebrates the contributions of people of all backgrounds, regardless of their age, ethnicity, race, color, abilities, religion, socioeconomic status, culture, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

Arcata Sunrise Rotary has added a DEI committee to our club. This committee encourages our members and all the service committees within the club to look at Rotary and our service work through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This means to seek out diverse groups, let them know about Rotary and find out how we can join them in their efforts.

It means inviting them to learn more about our club by joining us for a meeting or having us join their meeting to share what we do and who we are. Our members are involved with or interacting with a number of groups. NAACP, CUNA, and Home Away from Home are some of the groups where Rotary members are actively engaged, and we continue to reach out to others.
